Ciao, I am from Abruzzo, Italy and I love my region and it is very emotional for me to let it discover to travelers from all over the world. At the same time, I love my country and many past travelers asked me suggestions to have experiences similar to the ones they had with me in Abruzzo in other off the beaten tracks corners of Italy.

So I’ m working hard to select partners, licensed tour guides and passionate people living and working in other Italian regions, such as Sicily, that share our philosophy and style to create new and unique trips to support small local businesses and sustainable tourism. My wife and I were disappointed not to be able to visit Abruzzo again this year due to the pandemic, after three previous visits. We have returned to Abruzzo three times to travel with Italia Sweet Italia, Each visit was wonderful in its own way: an ancestry tour with other family members; small group travel that included highlights of Puglia and Basilicata; and a short custom trip to explore hilltop towns in Abruzzo. Fabrizio is fun, smart and easy to work with, and has great passion for sharing all that’s good about his hometown of Vasto and this unspoiled region of Italy. Traveling with Fabrizio to sites in Abruzzo that he loves was really delightful! From cooking classes with his mother and her friends to visiting olive groves and vineyards owned by friends, every experience was special. The hotel we stayed in, the walks along the shore, wonderful meals, learning to make cheese at an agriturismo were all special. There was something interesting to do every day, but also time to be on our own to relax or explore Vasto. The group of folks on our tour were lovely and easy to get along with

Thanks to a recommendation in Italy Magazine, we first took a tour of Abruzzo with Fabrizio in Spring 2019. It was our first time to Abruzzo after many years of coming to Italy. Fabrizio custom planned our 4 day trip and he did not disappoint in the least. We learned so much about the region, the food and how lovely the people are. We had wine/oil/cheese tastings, a cooking class, a boat trip to the Tremiti islands and an excursion to Sulmona. Fabrizio handled all details for us and was VERY responsive and flexible, focusing on what we wanted to do and making changes for the weather and for our energy levels. Was truly one of the best experiences we have had in many years. And we will be back!!! UPDATE: We did come back to Abruzzo in September 2019 and took another tour with Fabrizio to Roccascalegna castle, a tour of Vasto, a wonderful lunch on a trabocco (look those up..amazing) and a stop by Fonte Fico for another wine tasting. It was a wonderful couple of days and his love of Vasto and Abruzzo has caused us to decide we want to buy property around Vasto. He's that good.
